GEOFENCING
The ability to monitor vehicle movement in and out of restricted user defined areas is made easy with the Ward Geofencing Report. A Geofence is a user-defined boundary that generates records upon vehicle entry and exit. This report provides a history of detailed stop information including the vehicles that entered or exited a restricted area during a given timeframe.
Ward Fleet View has the capability of creating three types of geofences: circle, polygon, and route. Alerts can be setup for when a vehicle enters and/or exits a geofence. Speeding within a geofence can also be recorded as an alert. Unlike other systems on the market, Fleet View allows for multiple areas to belong to the same geofence. As a result, fleets have the ability to create one geofence for all drivers’ neighborhoods in order to block public viewing of activity within them.
